Embodiment Projection Role — A Creative Exploration of Self
Dec 1 — 10.30-5PM at The LAB, Foley St. Dublin 1.
This immersive workshop will offer you the possibility to experience a deep connection to your body and voice through developmental somatic movement and sound. From that place of connection to your "Self" you will be invited to project your embodied experience through art making and image making with objects. Then you will be guided into a playful exploration of the different parts that make up your social self, inviting those different characters to gently be embodied, to be playful, to speak their truth. Then we will connect to the Self with capital S, the essence in us that is not shaped by our parts, and that we can call the soul, the heart, the expression of our true nature, the compassionate and loving Self. The Self will invite the parts to a dance of recognition, perhaps a letting go of what does not serve you any more or a moment of gratitude for what they offer us.
The session will include :
• Guided meditation and breath work
• Somatic movement practice
• The embodiment of voice
• Connecting to the Self
• Projecting the experience
• Personal choreography with objects: projecting Parts
• Embodying the Parts
• The dance of the Parts and the Self
• Connecting to the Self
Aimed at movement practitioners, therapists, artists, creative facilitators... and anyone with an interest in exploring the arts as a tool to raise personal awareness and consciousness levels.
